The best things about living in Iceland
The best things about living in Iceland
The previous post I wrote about the worst things in Iceland. Well, now is the time to bring back its great opinion!
The first nice thing about Iceland is its water. For people that drink juices it may not be great but for those who hate any kinds on soda, it may be something really cool! The water in Iceland is considered as one of the cleanest and purest water all over the world. You don’t have to buy water in bottles, you just drink it from the sink which is really good for the environment.
The next but really obvious thing is of course nature. Whenever you want to see some breathtaking and just amazing views, you can just grab your car and go for a trip!
The unemployment and homelessness rate in Iceland is really close to 2% which is just incredible! You actually never see any beggar on the street but if you do, it is really very, very rare. Iceland also does not have any animals shelters. Instead you can find some ,katholts, which are centers for wild and abandoned cats. There are no dog shelters, because Iceland does not have any homeless dogs!
During the summer, the sun shines around 20 hours a day. It raises at around 5 am and sets around 3 am. So the sun shines the whole day. However in winter, the sun shines much less.
Icelandic people are really happy with their president. They respect him both as a person and of course as a president.
The education system (especially universities) is really good and respected. You don’t have to pay millions of dollars to get education as it is in for example in USA. Icelandic people are really grateful for that.
Iceland is also at the top of the list in terms of women's rights - equal pay, participation in politics and public life, etc.
